Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on every page of the website.
Collection of Usage Data
Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the website or from the website infrastructure itself.
When visiting MamasTravelTribe.com, usage data is logged. Usage data includes information such as date and time of access, visited page(s), duration of the visit, and more. This information is used purely to analyze trends, administer the site, track users movement and gather broad demographic information for internal use. Most importantly, any recorded data is not linked to personally identifiable information.
Collection of Personal Data
We do not collect any personal data except the data you share with us when you add a comment.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
COOKIE POLICY
What’s a cookie?
A “cookie” is a piece of information that is stored on your computer’s hard drive and which records how you move your way around a website so that, when you revisit that website, it can present tailored options based on the information stored about your last visit. Cookies can also be used to analyse traffic and for advertising and marketing purposes.
Cookies are used by nearly all websites and do not harm your system.
If you want to check or change what types of cookies you accept, this can usually be altered within your browser settings. You can block cookies at any time by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies you may not be able to access all or parts of our site.
How do we use cookies?
We use cookies to track your use of our website. This enables us to understand how you use the site and track any patterns with regards how you are using our website. This helps us to develop and improve our website in response to what you might need or want.
Please note that Third Party Service Providers mentioned in the Privacy Policy above may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be analytical cookies (e.g. tracking website usage) or targeting cookies (e.g. serving interest-based ads).
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA) for aggregated, anonymized website traffic analysis. In order to track your session usage, Google drops a cookie (_ga) with a randomly-generated ClientID in your browser. This ID is anonymized and contains no identifiable information like email, phone number, name, etc. We also send Google your IP Address.
We use GA to track aggregated website behavior, such as what pages you looked at, for how long, and so on. This information is important to us for improving the user experience and determining site effectiveness.
If you would like to access what browsing information we have – or ask us to delete any GA data – please delete your _ga cookies, reach out to us using the contact form, and/or install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.
For more information on the privacy practices of Google, please visit the Google Privacy Terms web page.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
